Macs will soon have an application store, similar to the App Store for the iPhone and iPad, Jobs said at an event at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. New computers will take better advantage of multitouch gestures on track pads, mimicking the interface on Apple’s iOS, which runs mobile products, he said. The app store will open within 90 days, and Lion will be released in summer 2011.

Flash CS5 - tutorials continuation

This week I continued with Flash CS5  tutorials in Lynda.com. I finished part 4 and 5. This was all the tutorials that I take this week:

This software is a little difficult and requires a lot of practice,  but is a great tool to make animations. I love this software and I know that I will be using it for a long time.

PE5_ TypingWeb

Typingweb is an online tool was students can learn how to type. This website allows teachers to manage, track and report their students in one easy portal.  To vie the student’s progress and improvement you click the icon or double click any row and you will load the student details page. You can also see how many times the student has logged in. You can see graphs by clicking the graph button or exported with the export button.
This website also includes typing games

I like this tool very much because I can teach my students how to type and I can manage and keep track of the student’s progress and print certificates. I also do an advance typing test to check my skills and I print my certificates. You can print your certificate or pay a fee to get a hard copy by mail.
